Are you still uncertain about cruising?
Not sure if your want to try that "other" cruise line?
7 days too long for you to get off work?
Is your spouse not "sold" on the idea of cruising yet?
Do you just want to get away for a few days?
If you answered YES to any of these, then Coastals may be a GREAT idea for you!
Not only are coastal cruises typically CHEAPER than your average 7 day cruise, they are also a great way to try out different cruise lines or cruising in general.
Coastals (also known as: repositional cruises) are made available (usually) by a cruise line bringing a ship from one season destination to another. For example: a season of cruising in Alaska is great, but when the season ends, it is time for the ship to make its way down to Mexico (or other seasonal destination(s). This is where Coastals come in. Why have an empty ship on its way to a new season hot spot? Coastals are the cruises that happen in between season itineraries and sometimes several times before heading to the new ports.
How long are Coastals?
3-5 days, typically.
How is it different than a "full length" voyage?
Other than the fewer days and less "exotic" ports, your coastal cruise is EXACTLY the same!
